DESCRIPTION OF CORECOOL FOR FULLY ENCAPSULATING ENSEMBLES Overview: The CoreCool™ Personal Ice Cooling System circulates chilled water through a tube-lined garment to remove metabolic heat from the user's body. This system is designed to provide body cooling and manage heat stress for personnel wearing chemical protective clothing. This system will not prevent the user from perspiring and may not be suitable for some applications. Application: CoreCool™ can be worn with a fully-encapsulating ensemble. In addition to the provided components, the user must also purchase a coolant passthrough assembly, harness assembly, and support hook from Geomet. These components are used to suspend the pump unit and ice bag assembly on the outside of the suit to maintain chemical integrity of the suit. CoreCool™ for Level A and Level B Totally Encapsulating Ensembles The system includes: Pump Unit, Two speed pump powered by 3 "D" cell alkaline batteries operates continuously for a minimum of 4 hours. Chemical agent-resistant coated housing. Ice Bottle, (2 each) - 2 liter rectangular bottle with cap. Coupling Cap, (1 each) - Screw closure with chrome-plated brass couplings. Ice Bag Assembly, (1 each) - Chemical Agent Resistant bag with closed cell foam insulation, chrome-plated brass and Delrin™ acetal couplings, and thigh retaining strap. Liquid Cooling Shirt, (1 each) - Cotton/polyester shirt with PVC tubing, Delrin™ acetal couplings, available in sizes Small, Medium, Large, Extra large and Extra extra large. External Coolant Tether Assembly, (1 each) - Chemical Agent Resistant tubing with chrome-plated brass couplings and monofilament sleeve. Pump Coolant Tether Assembly, (1 each) - Chemical Agent Resistant tubing with chrome plated brass couplings and monofilament sleeve.
